Wednesday's Meeting and other things going on in my life right now.
This afternoon I had a meeting with the pastor of Christ Chapel. Because I will be baptized this coming Easter Sunday, I've been going through baptism classes on Sunday mornings, and private meetings on Wednesdays with Pastor Lotz. We've been looking at Hebrews 6:1,2,3,"Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptism, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgement. And God permitting we will do so." He has been explaining what all this means, how it all fits together, and asking if I understood. My response was always, "Yes." I actually already knew what this whole passage meant.... Next week I have to tell my testimony, so this week I'll be busy writing that all out. I might post it on my blog when it's finished. It'll be very short as I've only lived 13 years and don't have too many interesting stories to tell! Anyway, I also had a dental appointment this morning. No, cavities of course. :) I did get some sealants though. Dr. what's his name said, " Okay lets have some fun!" And I was thinking, who is having the fun? Me or you? After that ordeal, I took a nap, as I was up late again last night, and I didn't get all the sleep I was hoping for in the dentist chair. Because I was wearing the sunglasses they gave me, the Dr. couldn't see my eyes and therefore couldn't tell if they were open or not, therefore allowing me to "snooze". After I post this blog post, I have a lot of school to do seeing how I had a lot of things going on during the day, ( although Mom will most likely consider this some school. :). It looks like I won't be able to go to prayer meeting this evening. I'm reading The Crook in the Lot, and another book but I can't recall the name... Oh here's some news! I've been working on a couple of cool badges for my GEMS group that I attend at the Presbyterian Church of Cape Cod. They are, Digital Technology badge, Personal Care, Cake Decorating, and also my Book badge. I had a blast making the cake for the cake decorating badge! My Aunt Ginny, who is a pro at cake decorating, gave me instructions. You can see the pictures of it at the beginning of this blog post. By the way, it was also for my sister Sarah's 8th birthday. It has been cool being able to add all the verses that you're suppose to memorize for the badges onto my Memverse account, ( it seems I mention Memverse a lot... Probably because it's such a great web site for Bible verse memorization. For those of you who want to check it out the address is, http://www.memverse.com/ ) Some of the requirements for my Digital Technology badge were to teach some one "old" how to do something on the computer, so I tried to teach my daddy how to play Polar Plunge which is a very addictive game on a mindless web site called Webkinz. Thank goodness I was able to get away from that place! Although there is one particular person who is still in the web site's grasp. I'm not mentioning any names. Haha. Anyway, my Dad failed at it, failed! : ) Wow, this has been a very long blog post! I guess I was really in the mood for writing. I wouldn't be surprised if all you readers started getting droopy eyed somewhere in the middle of my blog post, or maybe even at the very beginning, or maybe even at the title!!! Ha, ha that's okay. I'd like to sign off with this Bible verse.
Proverbs 2:10-11 ( This is a verse I'm currently memorizing for my Digital Tech badge)
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will be pleasant to your soul.
Solus Christus,
Lydia
